graphics, text, pics don’t look crisp in lower field sequence
My perplexing problem continues.
Using FCP HD and viewing on an ntsc monitor. My text and photos look terrible, especially text coming in from photoshop. I’m using easy DV set up, with field order set to lower. When I change the field dominance to NONE all the graphics and photos look so much better. I’ve tried many things including making sure that the position of the graphics is on an even integer. Nothing helps.
I’d leave the sequence on NONE since most of the interlaced video seems unaffected, except for some helicopter shots that look a mess now.
I’ve tried effects to alter the field order. Doesn’t help. Flicker filter helps a little, but its blurry, not so crisp. Any way to get that crisp look for graphics that I get in the no field s in a lower field sequence??
Is there any danger of producing the whole piece in a no field sequence? It’ll be used mainly for DVD.Could ther be something wrong with my version of FCP? This doesn’t seem normal at all.
any insight would be great
