I’m considering upgrading to a Intel “Haswell” series MB/processor that offers integrated graphics. Is it possible (or desirable) to use the onboard Intel graphics to drive the computer monitors while leaving my Geforce Nvidia card to handle cuda tasks? Or doesn’t it work that way…

The board combo I’m looking at is the Asus Z87 workstation board and Intel i7-4770K with Intel HD 4600 graphics.

Not on CS6 or prior. Pr CC is supposed to be able to use multiple GPUs, and graphics chips other than NVidia, but I haven’t seen any benchmarks or reviews yet.

Not all the apps will use be able to use CUDA if it’s not the primary display adapter. I wouldn’t bother with the the Intel, more prudent to get a dedicated card for a new build.

Maybe I’ll dink around with it after I build it and report back.
    Thanks all.
