Question about importing basic lower 3rd titles/graphics created in a a graphics program – such as Motion2.

I export out of my graphics program with an alpha channel. When I import into Avid, with “invert existing” alpha channel settings, I seem to get a black edge around all my plain white text. Very simple titles. How can I eliminate this ugly black edge? Am I incorrect on certain settings.

    Xpress Pro 4.8.1
    OS X 10.4.2
    Motion 2.
    G5 dual 2.3

    thanks,

    MIke.

    strange…
    workaround

crate a white field with title tool

step into the key effect and replace your fill with the white field, or, if your graphics prog allows render /save your text in a unpremultiplied form, this should produce a (dirty) fill larger than the alha and will eliminate any poor edging..
