graphics card recommendation?
I’m buying a new workstation and I thought i’d go with the Nvidia GTX 560Ti, but someone on Tom’s Hardware said i should get a ‘real’ graphics card (whatever that means?). There are so many options. Does anyone have a recommendation? I do a lot of work in After Effects so I think I need to get an Nvidia card for that CUDA thing..

Hi!
A graphics card doesn’t have much impact with Cinema4D, so the 680/690 would be overkill. I’m also a gamer, so I’m going for the 670, best value:performance ratio according to reviews online. If you can, I’d recommend getting a Quadro. They’re made for workstations. perhaps a Quadro 4000Ideas to Creations | Motion Graphics, Visual Effects and Digital Art inspiration, tutorials and much more!

Thanks for the input Alex. I guess I can understand wanting a 6xx model since you’re doing a bit of gaming.
