    Currently I’m running a Dual 2.7 GHz G5 on OS X 10.4.7 with a ATI Radeon X850 XT card.
When I upgraded to AE 7 I noticed some change with the Open GL support. So if i upgrade the card to a Quadro FX 4500 level
will it be a huge difference or not so much? The projects are big with multiple effects and nested comps using 3d layers and cameras most of the time.

    Thanks in advance.

You can’t go to a Quadro 4500 card since you don’t have PCIe… if your computer is early 2005, and dual 2.7ghz procs…

    Sorry….

Even if you could go with the Quaddro, the open gl support for that card with AE on a Mac is limited. Not worth it until software takes advantage of the card on a Mac platform. However, if you have a PC around, the 4500 is really worth the pricetag.
