Running Power PC G5 Dual 2.0 GHz w/ATI radeon 9600xt and 3GB ram.

Basically my monitor keeps going to black for a second… then back up… it is intermittent, but is very annoying.

Have 2 samsung Syncmaster 205BW screens hooked up via DVI. One of the monitors has a Apple display – DVI adapter on it, and the other is straight DVI. I have swapped monitors around, changed cables etc, but problem seems to persist on the monitor that is hooked up to the straight DVI out from the Mac. As I have switched cables, monitors etc, I know it’s not the monitors… and it only happens to whichever monitor is attached to the DVI out.

I have a sonnet RAID card in slot 3, Kona LH card in slot 4, and ATI radeon in slot 1. I was only running 1 monitor for the last few months… but curiously I was running it on the DVI only port, and it was running fine… I updated firmware for the card, but that hasn’t helped.

i run Avid and Final cut pro on that machine… but don’t think it’s a conflict between them…

    Anyone?
