    hi everybody….
first of all sorry for my imperfect english, i’m an italian guy.
    That’s my problem.
I made a dv comp in after effects.
In this comp i have a map(a blu solid with a mask shape) of italy with some circles(simply red solid with a circle masks) indicate some cities.
I preview my comp over firewire.
In the computer monitor looks great but in the tv either the blu map and the circles look very bad, it seems to have an halo ….like when the alpha is premultiplied…..really bad.
    can someboy help me?

Have you actually rendered your stuff and previewed it in your edit suite? Preview over firewire is never 100% correct, least of all when it comes to the colors. Make sure you are taking care of broadcast safe levels. While working, this can be done easiest by having an adjustment layer on top of your comp. Check Aharon’s tutorial for the specifics.

Also, if your output is NTSC you should render in fields, especially for Avid as I’ve noticed it does a terrible job of interlacing Progressive renders.
