Honestly, im unsure as to which graphics card to recommend to you.
…….For a number of reasons. But you can take a look at AMD FirePro Graphics Card.

    Allan –

I am getting a computer built by ADK Media. They specialize in video editing systems. I told them my main use was Sony Vegas, Sound Forge, and ACID. They are installing a GeForce – GTX 560 Graphics Card; 850 MHz core; 1 GB GDDR5 SDRAM. I have to just trust them since I’m by far not an expect in this area but I can at least pass along some of their expertise.

Deja Vu – didn’t you post this a year ago?

I avoid AMD graphics because I have had problems with their drivers in the past. Retired another one just last week.

Also, some plug-ins only use cuda cores (which is unique to nVidia) for GPU assistance.

nVidia just introduced the GTX 680. It has a total of 1536 CUDA cores, runs at 703 MHz core and 1406 MHz clock and a 256 bit memory bus pumping out 196 GB/sec.

I am hoping someone here will try one soon.

    Hi

So long as you are not using intensive plug ins you can use the internal graphics on the latest intel chips and save money.

Some of these GPU plugins are a real headache to deal with.
Some of these third party companies are not listening Gregg.
