Relatively newbie to FCP so thank you for any help.

Exported FCP (ProRes 422) to Quicktime (2.88 GB 1920×1080 3mins). Used the “Share YouTube” template on compressor. Template exported it to 1280×720 172 MB .mov file. Size is fine, that’s not the issue.

However the text now has a slight grainy-ness to it. Any suggestions on the Compressor setting?

Also, any suggestions on which template to take the large file down to an email-able size without it looking like an etch-a-sketch?

Thank you so much for your help. REALLY appreciate it.

Don’t export to QuickTime. Just send directly to Compressor for the highest quality.

Your data rate for 3 min needs to be around 425-450 with an h.264 setting. Figure scaling it down to 640×360, or 320×180.
