GRaid 16 TB Hard drive failure again
I have a GRAID 16 TB Dual-Drive storage system with thunderbolt. Using it for a film project. It failed and I sent it back to G-Technology under warranty and got a replacement. The replacement has been working fine for the last couple of months. Then I don’t use it for ten days then when I turn it back on it won’t start. It lights up for 10 seconds, doesn’t show up on the desktop and then turns itself off :((( It took me so long to back up this project onto this drive! It’s a big valuable project and I don’t know what hard drive to trust. If I send it back I know they’ll send a replacement – but how can I trust this won’t happen again. Seems very unusual to have this happen twice. I guess my questions are – any tips for how to make it reboot and any recommended storage systems that work better than this? Thanks!
