I am trying to make a simple static image to insert into a video I’m editing in FCP. My sequence settings are: HD (960×720) (16:9); Pixel aspect ratio: HD (960×720).

I have created several images (both psd and png) in photoshop and imported into FCP, but the images have all been to narrow. I have tried multiple image sizes in photoshop and their HD video image presets. But the image is always too narrow when imported into FCP, even if I make it really really pig like 1980 pixels wide.

Any ideas of how to set up my psd? I know there is an issue with square pixels in photoshop vs. rectangle pixels in FCP. Please help.

    Thanks.
