Graffiti 5 on a Mac Pro?
Posted by Dan Sparks on November 24, 2006 at 10:24 pmI’ve tried installing the new demo version of Graffiti 5.0 on my Mac Pro 2.66 and it does not show up in Final Cut 5.1.2. I’ve tried their recommended steps of removing pref files, Caps ON then off, ect. It just won’t load. Any ideas?

November 27, 2006 at 6:21 pmHi,
Graffiti 5 will not operate within FCP on MacIntel systems until the patch is ready, which should be there in a couple of weeks. This will be a free patch for users of Graffiti 5. The patch will not work for older versions of the product.
Cheers,
Peter.

November 27, 2006 at 6:58 pmDo you know how long the upgrade pricing is in effect? I don’t want to purchase it until I know it’s going to work on my Mac Pro.
Thanks,Dan Sparks

November 27, 2006 at 7:07 pmUnderstandably so.
The upgrade pricing is good through the end of the year at least.
Cheers,
Peter.

December 12, 2006 at 5:17 pmI have a years worth of projects with Graffiti 4 clips.
We just moved over to the Intel Macs. Now ALL my projects crash or will not load.
So I am very interested in this patch for V5 and I’m pretty much sunk until it arrives.Dave

December 12, 2006 at 5:24 pmHi Dan,
Please know that the engineers here are cranking as fast as they can on this project. We are coming closer by the day to a release of Graffiti, FX and RED for MacIntel systems. Sooner rather than later but stable rather than sooner, right? 🙂
Thanks for your continued patience with this.
Peter.
