  • Grading sRGB, 0-255 in FCPX? or just XML to Davinci Resolve and set sRGB and Data Levels there?

Hi – hope a few experts can enlighten me on best practices for this situation,

I have a project that is going to web delivery in FCPX. I want to calibrate my monitor to sRGB and color grade in sRGB for an export to sRGB. But, I want to make sure I’m working in full data levels (0-255). Is this possible in FCPX, or does FCPX force you to either use 16-235 Rec 709 or choose Wide Gamut with 0-255 Data levels? In other words, can I get the Rec.709/sRGB color space and also the 0-255 levels at the same time in FCPX? Or I am forced to work in 16-235 Rec 709 in FCPX and do all the grading in Resolve by doing an FCPX XML and bring into Resolve, where I can set it up for sRGB with Data Levels (0-255)?

    Thanks for any advice here,
    Matt
