Gradient map for shatter
Ok, so what i’ve got is a layer that i’ve drawn a mask on.
I’ve then applied the shatter effect to this layer and made the shape of the shatter effect puzzles pieces.Now, i’d like to control individual pieces using a gradient layer.
I’ve taken a still frame of wireframe, to see where the pieces are, and then have gone and drawn little boxes of ranging shades of gray inside individual pieces of the wireframe.
But I just cant seem to get gradient layer to work properly.
I think I dont understand what shades of gray i’m supposed to be using.
When I change the threshold value, a lot go at once rather than individual pieces, even though the gradient layer is full of varying shades of grey.
(I need at least 8 different areas that shatter on cue)
Any help would be most appreciated.
