Whenever I import an AI file that has a gradient the file is never in sharp focus. I know that scaling AI files over 120% or so will do that, but these are scaled down to 5-18%. Why are they not infinately enlargeable?
    thanks yo!

Have you attempted to use continuous rasterization?

fore sure. I thought that was it at first, I believe it may have to do with the transfering from vector art to what AE considers masks. Or just the way that AE translates gradients?

    Hi there,

    I can’t reproduce the problem ?
What version of AI, what version of AE

    Can you post a screenshot.

I made a file in AI (cs version), brought that into AE (6.5 pro) as a cropped layer – comp. Open that as its own comp, say comp A. Bring that and nest it into another comp, say that is Comp B with comp A nested now. Both are 3D and comp B has a camera, from far away it is not too bad, but once the camera gets close comp A never is in sharp focus. It is soft like the camera has a Depth of Field or F-stop issue. But I have already checked the camera and it isn’t that. The original AI file was put together in AI version 10, but then opened in CS and resaved. ???
I’m don’t have the files right now or I would give you a screen shot.
