As the title sais, I’m wondering if it’s a correct workflow to grade larger than HD footage in a 1080p timeline and then render out at the full source resolution. Will all the grades, power windows and sizing translate correctly?
I guess it would mean unnecessary processing to set the timeline to 4K while my monitor is 1080, right?

Grade with an HD timeline and then changing it to UHD for render is a well proven way to speed up your grading time. Remember to only use the output sizing to downsize to a lower resolution than whats in the timeline.
