  • Grabbing just the shadow from a GI pass?

    Hello everyone,

I’m trying to modify an infinite floor type of setup (similar to Grey Scale Gorilla’s tutorial) and have figured out how to get the look with GI. My question is, how can I pull out just the shadows from a GI pass? I’ve tried the shadow, AO and GI passes to no avail. The plane has an AO shader applied to it along with a comp bkg tag. Attached is a screenshot.

You can’t separate GI shadows because they’re baked into the GI.

i have the same question. Please review my screen shot. I want no GI on the floor. I excluded the surface from global illumination, but there is still some shading
