grab orientation and rotation from auto-orient-along-path
unfortunately, the values aren’t updated while using this function.
so if I want to transfer them to an element 3d-object, I just can’t.Is there a way to reach them anyway?

Try using an expression to simulate the auto-orientation effect. I seem to recall Dan Ebberts had one somewhere with a car but I can’t find it. All I can find is the expression in this thread, hopefully it works as well:

You’d turn the internal Auto-orient off and use this instead. Then you should have an output value to pick whip.
