    hey Guys,

sorry for the lame question, but I’ve been scanning data for hours and am requesting a simple answer / push in the right direction.

After a week and 20 hours troubleshooting why my PC wasn’t booting, I have discovered my Nvidia Quadro FX 3700 has kicked the bucket. It only had 512 megs to it, but seemed to do a good job.

I’m a little confused about Nvidia vs Radeon, and size, in relation to C4D.

My applications will be mostly C4D, with a bit of Sony Vegas & Adobe AE.

Any suggestions on cards to watch for (or avoid) at a low price (spent most of my disposable income on a new proprietary power supply while trouble shooting my system) would be great.

I know the info on Nvidia vs Radeon and size is all out there, I just thought I’d ask for a little hand.

Cinema 4D uses the CPU for rendering, not the GPU. A faster GPU would help in the viewport when using “enhanced Open GL,” but it wouldn’t lead to faster render times.
