    Hi Guys,

What type of GPU will you recommend for AE CS3.
I have few of these choices.

    Quadro 600, 1GB – $169
    GTX460, 1GB – $169
    GTS450, 1GB – $109

    Thanks
    Andy

[Andy Joseph] “What type of GPU will you recommend for AE CS3.”

The GPU makes no difference to After Effects. AE renders on the CPU.

There are a few third-party effects that are able to render on the GPU, and it seems performance often scales with price.

Premiere Pro (in CS5 and CS5.5) is GPU-accelerated. If you’re thinking about upgrading and you’re a Premiere user, check out the list of supported cards [link].

No, as of now i do not work on premiere at all. Just suggest me a straight on solution for after effects. Which card ?

Straight solution was already given to you: it doesn’t matter. AE does not render on the graphic card.

So how will i get an output without a card ? I don’t have an on-board graphics.

If you can see something on your computer screen, you have an onboard graphics card. If you’re in the process of building your computer, just pick a card. Any of the ones you suggested should do.
Check this page [link] out for more information on what AE requires.
