GPU crash using Sapphire’s Plugin.
Hi guys, something I’m unable to solve happened to me.
Working on FX on Adobe After Effects I’ve got a GPU crash.
I’ve got an error saying the GPU “Failed”, switching all the workflow on the CPU, actually drastically changing the performance. My specs are down here:
Intel® Core™ i7-720QM Processor (1.60 GHz, 6 MB L3 cache)
NVIDIA Quadro FX 2800M graphics with 1 GB dedicated GDDR3 video memoryUsing an 8740w HP Workstation I actually have the original drivers installed, so.. Any idea?

I’ve seen this once or twice. It isn’t crashing, just switching to from the GPU to the CPU. Performance might lag, but the results will still be the same. Click okay, and sit around and wait. It will render out fine. (Or has, in all of my cases)

Turn of OpenGL, and try again.

Nope, even with OpenGL off it crashes everytime.

Any idea? AE continously crashes and I don’t find a way to work properly.. I turned off OpenGl and tried some tweaks but nothing worked.

I just started getting the same error message, and I don’t have OpenGL even on.
On my end, I created the project (using Sapphire version 5.03)…another AE artist opened it up and worked in it with a different version of Sapphire (version 5.0). When I opened up the project again to do some more work in it, I started getting the error messages. It’s not crashing AE and it seems to render the plugins.
Just annoying and mysterious.
