Everything is working fine–I just can’t figure out what the contributing factors would be.

When exporting native GH5 h.264 footage (after editing and color grading), different projects use different amounts of the CPU & GPU. Some projects will max out the GPU on exporting (1080ti) while the CPU runs about 40%, other projects will push the CPU up to 100% (AMD 12-core 3.8Ghz), while the GPU only contributes about 50%. I’m just curious what makes the difference.

Does color-correction rely on the CPU more, while uncorrected footage is chunked out via the GPU?

Just curious. If anyone has any thoughts–I welcome them. 🙂

Color correction is GPU. CPU tends to get a work out with VST audio effects and decoding camera codecs like H264, 265. So the difference would be the codecs.
