I have a HP Z-420 E5-1620@3.6 gHZ, 16 Gb. RAM and currently have the stock Quadro 600 card. I want to be able to edit the XAVC Long GOP 422 10 bit video I will be using. Which Nvidia card will give me the best performance for my buck?
    Thanking you all in advance.

Do you have the 600 or 400 watt power supply? That’ll limit the cards you can use.

I will check. I have read favorable reviews on the EVGA GTX 970 card. I know some favor the Quadro cards, however, if the GTX can render 10 bit video for output, it seems to make sense to go with the less expensive option. Any thoughts on this?

I have the 600 Watt version. It appears the GTX 970 will work well, unless there are issues with it I am not aware of.
