gotta have an h.264 (not really vegas related…)
As I’ll tell anyone who asks me, I’m a Sony Vegas user, and on the whole, quite happy about it. The one thing I must concede though, is that the lack of h.264 .mov renders can cause problems…leading me here. (I realize that this question doesn’t pertain directly to Vegas, but I was hoping for some assistance nonetheless. If there’s a more appropriate place to put this, let me know.)
I have a pair of HD projects that need to be finalized and ready for blu-ray. While I could do this fairly easily myself, these pieces are part of a larger compilation. As nearly everyone else involved works on Mac, the person doing the assembly/burn has insisted upon a quicktime h.264 file. I stress that no other format will be accepted.
Other than Vegas, I have a copy of After Effects (though my 2 attempts at h.264 renders thus far have yielded less than desirable results). I can also get access to another pc with Adobe Premiere if necessary. If either of these can provide the files I need, detailed render settings would be appreciated.
If not, ANY suggestions as to alternative software/tools would be welcomed. These files need to be ready by the 19th, so I have a little breathing room, but not much.
Thanks.
