I’m trying to recompress a file that was created using the gotomeeting codec (already downloaded). Here’s the question. I’d like to get the same kind of quality that they’re getting with a similar file size in Windows Media format.

The footage is very simply a web meeting, so the content is very power pointish so to speak. The length of the video is 40 min’s and the original file size is just about 40 megs. I need to clip about 9 min’s off of that original file and then render out the new shorter version.

Using: Windows XP Pro Version 2002 SP3
Software: Squeeze 4.5 and PPro CS2
    Source Codec: GoTo Meeting’s Codec
Codec I’d like to Use: I need it to be played back using WM… not sure which codec I need to use
Destination: Digital Video – mainly used on pc’s

PPro is showing the original size as 1024:768. Not sure if thats important.

    Any advice?

Have you tried the Windows Media Screen Codec?
