  • Google Earth Pro maps: can anyone here make a smooth animation from them?

I know, not exactly a Premiere Pro question, but i’m finding no answers anyway else. I watch the news and see these great and very smooth Google Earth map anims and wonder why i can’t get nearly the same result.

One person offered this advice that came close to working: turn off “terrain” when creating a tour, then turn it back on when making the movie.

Any other ideas out there??? I could really use some help on this ASAP.

thanks for helping out a bonehead!

If you plan on using Google Maps animations for video use, you need to get the PRO version (cost $$), and license the map animation from them…or maybe that’s what the PRO does…and you need to make sure their watermark is visible (no scaling to crop it out). At least this was the case 8 years ago. Gotta check with Google on this. Also, make sure you have a powerful enough machine…it might be a processing issue. Or browser, try different browsers. BUT…if licensed and you have the PRO, you would be able to export the map move as a QT…

Ya, thanks. The $400 annual fee went away a couple years ago, which is nice, and using their Movie Maker seems to be the weak link in the chain. I can get several seconds of smooth-as-glass moves, and then it will hiccup. Very frustrating.
