Good News – PDW-U1 available NOW
Hey, good news…! Sony have finally released the update that allows the U1 to be used as a storage device for all files i.e. we can now store BPAV folders on XDCAM HD optical discs without having to transcode them. Finally, a way to make proper use of the U1 and to get a hard copy rather than blu-ray back ups etc. Hooray!
It’s an update available on the Sony website. Enjoy!!!

Got a URL? I poked around under “Software and Downloads” but only saw the last firmware update from a few months ago.
