Good method for Keying in AE
Hello people!
Me and my girlfriend made a short video for a competition yesterday with some stop motion elements.
In this video we wanted to add flames that we made from cutout paper, you might not see it to well thanks to the low quality video but since we didn’t have either green or bluescreen we just used a white paper and the edges are all fuzzy.Just wanted to ask if there’s any preferd method in AE when keying against something thats not chromakeyblue or chromakeygreen.
Anyone has any good tutorial or smart workflow for this process?Thanks and happy halloween! 🙂

You can also try the Luma Key effect. Set it to “Key Out Brighter” and adjust the parameters(mainly threshold start it out at 255 and start going down) and see if you can get a decent key.
