Good flag animation?

I’ve got 2 ways:
1. Buy Zaxwerks 3D Flag… its great & only around $100.
2. Use Fractal noise to create a displacement map. Set the scale width (twirl down Transform)to about 300, the scale height to about 1000 and the complexity to 2. Animate the Evolution. Use this layer as a displacement map for your flag layer.

Also it helps to duplicate the Fractal Noise layer Make it visible & experiment with transfer modes to add shadows and highlights.
