Good DLSR montior
I’m looking at getting one of these DSLR monitors.
I need something reasonably sized that can do both HDMI & composite as I’m currently shooting with a Sony VX2100 but plan on upgrading to Mark III in a few months.
Anybody have a decent monitor to recommend?
I’m currently shooting videos of myself so I need something bigger that I can see myself as the camera sees me while shooting video. Currently I have to shoot the footage… check on the computer… and repeate which is a PITA.
Anyways, anybody have some decent monitors they’ve tried? What’s best bang for the buck?

Check out my review for the SWIT S-1071F monitor. It’s 7″ but has every inout and conversion you can think of, built in.

Small HD monitors have a good value reputation, I don’t own one nor do I specifically know if they have both of the connection types you want in one monitor but check out the specs and reviews and I think you will see they are a good choice.

The show at Paramount, (Cine Gear Expo) has a couple of dozen brands.
What are you willing to spend?
Small HD, is on the bleeding edge because that is their core business.
Their OLED screen is visible in very bright conditions and they were showing me another screen which is a higher resolution (LCD) that worked as well in the afternoon sun.
The settings, menus, were layers deep and could be changed in real time, both came in at over $2k.
A good option from them is the DP4 kit, which has a loupe for around $700.

I recently bought the SmallHD AC& OLED monitor and am very happy with it so far. I love the fact that all version of the AC7 have tools built-in to the monitor such as focus assist and exposure assist, which should be great for DSLR shooting.
