Good client viewing monitor
Looking for suggestions on a good client viewing monitor. I am currently grading on a TV Logic XVM 245W. I have looked at plenty of posts on here but would like to stick with a plasma without spending a ton of money. Also I have only SDI out which I see that most low or mid end Plasma’s have only HDMI in. I was told that with a converter that some of the speeds will not work. Has anyone had any experience with this? Seems like Panasonic gets a lot of votes…..

I have it on good authority that the current plasma of choice is Panasonic TH-50BT300U, about 3500 bucks before you add the SDI input board. We have been using the… uh… ancestors… ‘series 9’ plasmas for several years and, though now ‘outdated, they’re still going strong and look great.

it really depends how critical your work is as plasmas are not so super precise and white point
runs all over the place. grade 1 monitor with sdi in would be better but with price tag.—

Agreed. Grading on OLED PVMs, but using Panny Plasma as client monitor.
