What would be a good audio editing software for Mac OSX ? I just try to find an alternative way of using Final Cut Pro to do some basics like cutting, adjust levels and convert sample rate.

I can’t afford Nuendo, but was thinking about Cubase.

    Pro Tools or Soundtrack.

Pro Tools is the way to go for high-end multitrack stuff. Soundtrack Pro has been fine for nearly all of my audio-for-video needs.

What is your budget for all the things you will need?

Digital Performer for multitrack or Peak for 2 track.
