Posted by Randy Johnson on June 8, 2009 at 9:25 pmAnyone shooting in AVCHD and using Premiere Pro and the Intensity Pro board? If so whats you workflow like? Do I need to get Cineform or something like that? I can edit AVCHD with 4.1 now but its REAL slow I dont recomend it.

June 9, 2009 at 8:07 pmI’m using P2 and it’s completely useless. Can’t utilize the blackmagic card at all, given my workflow. It appears there are some framerates/sizes that BMD doesn’t support. Check their support site if you are in doubt at all.

June 9, 2009 at 8:18 pmThanks guys, so I far I imported the AVCcam files right into Premiere and I COULD edit right out of the box. Its was really slow though. thats with a older quad core 2.4 kinda makes me wonder how a 8 core would go maybe I wouldnt even have to convert. I downloaded Cineforms prospect HD and tried it I dont mind converting if it gives me smooth editing. I converted some files which was simple enough but they didnt have audio and they wouldnt play right. I think I may be doing something wrong but I cant reach anyone at Cineform to help me(bad sign). I left 3 messages and a e-mail.

June 10, 2009 at 9:26 pmHD Extreme v3? And is that footage 30Pn? I was told by a rep the reason my timeline won’t play back was because that framerate wasn’t supported.

June 23, 2009 at 9:46 amAdobe In CS3.1 claimed that it had when you can use the mxf files p2, in fact, have tried many times to no avail. Estimates is necessary codec.
Now the new AVCHD Not tested but is said can also be used.
I am using the Final Cut Pro 6.1 for conversion. Files can be edited when it is impossible to playback in the external monitor. The need for rendering into a supported format can be.
