Gold foil glint
Problem: Scanning a wedding invitation with reflective foil (gold, silver) looks bad.
Question: How do I make them look more like gold or silver?
I saw a demo at WEVA a few years ago where this guy took a Chinese invitation (bright red with lots of shiny gold print) and somehow by masking a different unrelated photo (a street scene) behind it he made the darn thing shine and sparkle. Alas, by the time I realized he was doing something interesting and woke up I missed the whole thing. 🙂
I remember he converted the invitation to 2 colors. I guess he must have converted that to a mask then moved it around between the two pics to get the gold effect.
This may be more a Photoshop question than Vegas question but here I am…
