I’ve used M100 for 10yrs and this is a first for me.
I was exporting a SD project as a quicktime to be brought into a dvd creation program.
It was about an hour long and with color FXapplied here and there – it would take a half hour or so to export.
I leave my suite, come back an hour later to learned M100 crashed on export.
No Biggie, I’ll just restart and try again.
PROBLEM – missing audio, like disappearing audio media. Offline, gone .
I’ve never seen that before? Video plays fine from same drive. (Gtech)
Tried to relink but no go…
Can’t redigitize because I used a camera/SDI to capture so there was no time-code passed down.
Just a straight play/capture of the whole tape.
I’ve never ever lost media during an edit without the hard drive failing – ever.
Any thoughts? -

“When doing a “relink media”, look for the name of the audio file, and try to find it manually in the Finder? Is it there?
The crash with disappearing clips sounds like you do have a drive problem. You definitely should run DiskWarrior or the drive repair of Apple DiskUtility on your Media drive. I haven´t seen any situation where Media 100 deletes media files on its own. -
Well it had to happen some time so this is my first bad disk.
Another question, do you know of any product that will bring back trashed media from a disk? Not corrupt, just trashed.
If I can recover the media – will M100 relink to that media?thanks
