Go to Time Shortcut
Posted by Jake Abramson on June 19, 2008 at 4:48 pmSo In every AFX version leading up to CS3, the go to time was always Apple+G. Seems adobe decided to change that to Alt+Shift+J.
Is there anyway to change this back?

June 19, 2008 at 8:35 pmThat is pretty easy on to fix. It was driving me NUTS also.
Step1: Locate the text file Adobe After Effects 8.0 Shortcuts.txt
On Windows XP you can find it in the folder
C:Documents and SettingsXXXXXXXApplication DataAdobeAfter Effects8.0
Replace XXXXXXX with your current username, for example “jessica”.# On Mac OS X you will find the text file in
User/Library/Preferences/Adobe/AfterEffects/8.0/# Step 2: Create a backup copy of the file, just to be on the safe side…
# Step3: Find “(Cmd+G) and delete that line
# Step4: Find “(Option-shift-J)” and change that line to read
“Group” = “(Option+Shift+J)”
# Step5: Add this line
“GoToTime” = “(Cmd+G)”
I simply switched what the shortcut was for each action.
Hope this helps!
