September 26, 2005 at 12:12 pmthere are some tricks:
>open your PS.
>create a new file
>creat a new layer, draw anything you like in it
>apply a glow effect onto the layer
>Save it as a PSD file
>open you AE
>import the PSD file into you AE as a composition
>select the layer with the glow effect
>open the effect window
>then you can see the “glow” effect
>now you can copy and paste it to any layer you like:) -

September 26, 2005 at 2:36 pmIf you want the true glow effect that glows the whole image then go to STYLIZE>GLOW.
If you want a halo of color around the alpha, then add DROP SHADOW. Set the offset to zero, the color to whitish, and the feather(blur) way up and the opacity way up.

September 27, 2005 at 2:30 amI usually duplicate the layer and on the lower of the 2 layers, I apply the tint effect to give it the color I want, and then blur it a little. FOr extra reach on the glow, between the 2 effects, I might add the effect called Matte Tools > Simple Choker and choke it with a negative value. Also I might change the layer transfer mode to Add so that it effects layers below as if it were lighting them.
