glitches in compressor
Hello All
I have been trying to export my Final cut pro project using compressor setting DVD 90 minutes Best quality to get an MPEG2 file which then I can bring into DVD StudioPro and make dvds from. However every time I export I get the exact same glitch in the exact same spot ( some times it is worse than others) and no matter what I do it happens over and over again. I even tried exporting a self contained QT of my sequence and then brought in that QT into compressor and even then I got the glitch which now I am certain is a compressor problem. Why is this happening, and more importantly how can I fix it? Please help!!I should mention that the glitch looks more like a pulsation on the screen that gets worse as it progresses for about 20 second or so and then it just goes away. Also I am using compressor 3 in conjunction to Finalcut 7. THANK YOU

compressor repair probably won’t help.
I know what your talking about though, you are
seeing blocky artifacts really bad right?The only way I know to get rid of it is changing
the encoding from VBR to CBR. Getting it to 90min
duration at CBR will be tough though.I actually had to use a different encoder to get
past this issue. -
Chris, I appreciate the reply. That is exactly what is happening. May I ask. . . which other encoder did you use?
Im trying the one pass CBR right now. so we’ll see. -
Adobe Media Encoder.
It came bundled with After Effects cs4.
on a side note Media Encoder does a MUCH better job
of creating DVD .m2v files, from HD sources.
Way better than compressor on the highest quality resize setting. -
CS5 adds
64-bit (faster)
auto-start feature (i hated having to hit the start button)
more presets
