Glitch on Cross Dissolve
We had a PNG vignette still over our entire sequence. Above that we had animated ProRes 4444 lower third animations. Every time two clips under the vignette had a cross dissolve between them the vignette would pop to about double its intensity at the first frame of the dissolve below. We pulled off the vignette to try to export a full clip without vignette and add it in a second pass….this time the lower third would pop to about double intensity in the more transparent areas at the first frame of the cross dissolve on the clips below. Funny it only did this about half way thru the sequence. The first several lower thirds were fine.
This occurred with or without GPU acceleration. There are large stills in the sequence so that could be it because we could not export an entire sequence with GPU acceleration without the compile error. Everything had to be output software only….four 8 minute videos ! Ouch.
Anyone else seeing these little glitches on cross dissolves with other layers above? BTW it also did NOT occur if we used opacity keyframes rather than the cross dissolve transition effect.
