I need to make an almost black object which has small glimmers in the surface, which means that they only light-up in the specular areas.
I made a texture for it in PS; a simple black area with irregular tiny white spots, but I don’t know in what channel(s) to use it.
The spots should only appear in the specular areas and not in the darker parts. The specular channel however doesn’t have a “texture” option.

I tried different configs in the specular color channel but with no result.

I attached an image to show what it should (more or less) look like.

R14 has a texture slot in the specular channel. With prior versions you would put the texture in the Specular Color channel.

    Thanks Adam, that did it.
Tried it before but after tweaking some parameters I got a reasonable result.
