A friend lent me a glidecam he uses with a smaller DSLR. I would like to use it with a Canon C100.
Look how the mounting plate is off to one side, surely it should be in the middle and I won’t be able to balance it without moving the plate to a more central position?

    Any help would be appreciated

You want your camera in the center if it is the same size on both ends. A lot of cameras that isn’t the case. For example, my camera has a handle on the end so I have to place it more like your image indicates. The design of the Glidecam wants the center weight of the camera in the center which might make it so the camera is not in the dead center of the rig.

Thanks for replying! The C100 does have a sort of large handle on the side…I guess I’ll give it a shot!

Best of luck. The Glidecam is rather tricky to balance the first time.
