I short some video on a tripod with the image stabilizer on. I beleive this should have been off. Will this cause the image to jitter when there is movement across the screen. It looks terrible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have footage from my GL2 on a tripod shot with IS engaged and I’ve never experienced jittery footage in the way you’ve described. Image stabilization will try to correct the beginning and end of a pan or tilt, so you’ll see a bit of a jump in your footage, but not like you’re describing. Check your shutter speed. If it was set to less than 60 then you’re going to see motion jitter in the way you’ve described. But it won’t be because the IS was on, at least not on my GL2.
