GL2 and FCP5 = crash
Before anyone asks, yes I have trashed the Quicktime Receipts and reinstalled Qtime.
I have a new Canon GL2 and can’t get it to communicate correctly with FCP. I can get the program open, get the NTSC Basic setting activated, but then when I go to log and capture the program just quits… my computer is seeing the camera just fine via firewire. I’ve tried throwing out the FCP preferences even… help!?!!

Under what conditions does your Mac “see” the camcorder without FCP?

Make sure you don’t have anything else on the firewire bus other than your GL2.

My Computer “sees” the GL2 because when you go to system profiler and click on “firewire” it lists the recognized devices hooked up via firewire…
I only have one device hooked via firewire – the GL2.
