GL2 “16:9 Guides” unavailable
Hello,
I shoot 30p with a 16:9 ratio (16:9 mode) on the Canon GL2.. however, the LCD shows a vertically stretched image due to the LCD being 4:3.
I see in DISP SET UP there is an item called “16:9 guides” but it is unavailable.
isn’t there some way to make the LCD display 16:9 with letterboxes so i can more easily frame my shots? or am I stuck with a stretched image? -

The LCD on the GL2 does not offer “WYSWIG” 16:9 or Letterbox 16:9 in a 4:3 frame… it is stretched.
Use an external anamorphic 16:9 monitor.
