give movement to a shot
Hi
I have a shot that I did with a tripod and now I wanna give him some movement, just like when you shoot without a tripod, does somebody know what effect can I use for that?? -

I have come across the need to do this on occasion and my method is to send the clip to Motion and use the “randomize” behavior. You can set a a subtle random movement to the X&Z axis to make it look like camera shake. I’m sure there are other methods and plugins within Final Cut but I have found this way to be quite effective and you have a lot of control.

Whenever I do this, I bring the shot into Adobe After Effects and use the wiggle command. I’ve never done it in motion, but it’s the same as the randomize motion plugin. I prefer AAE though. Feels like I have more control over it.

Shoot (or find) some HH footage with a tracking reference at about the same focal length. Track the shot and pin the footage that you want to have motion to the reference track.
The downside of adding motion to a clip is you will have to blow it up to cover the edges if it is to be used full screen.Scott Sheriff
