I am seeing ghosting from the component output of a Kona3 (see link below for 720p png file).

    Ghosting

This ghosting is definitely in the output and not just a TV thing as this capture demonstrates. The file capture was done by feeding the component outs on the Kona3 directly into a KonaLHe and captured uncompressed.

This ghosting is not in the SDI output. Why is it showing up in the component output? Is it just an analog thing that we’re stuck with? It doesn’t just show up for black on white text, either – I just used this as a test since it is easiest to see for demonstration purposes.

    Any ideas appreciated. Thanks!

I’m pretty sure thats normal for an analog signal, both my kona and decklink do that.

Though its more noticeable in that shot you show. A little too much if you ask me.
maybe check your cables or try another set?

I’ve noticed that myself when loading bars.
in component you see between the green & magenta bars some subtle “ringing”
effect, its not really pronounced on typical video content.
in SDI you don’t see it at all.
