Ghost image effect
Hopefully, there are some baseball fans out there who watched the recent Oakland A’s/Detroit Tigers series(and the other ESPN covered games).
On several occasions when ESPN went to a station break they would show shots of ballplayers and the images would have a white, ghost type of edging around the player shot. I’ve looked through the Effects selections and have tried a few things, but nothing replicates this effect. Does anyone have an idea about how to create this effect using FCP? It’s a cool effect…something I’d like to use in the future.

That filter is in Photoshop.
I think its called “Find Edges”.
