    I think that’s a great move.
To get the colours close to Canon, select the ‘Natural’ picture profile and turn the Sharpness, Contrast and Saturation all to -5.

I still have my C100 MkII, but I keep thinking I should sell mine too. The most annoying think with the C100 Mkii is the terribly overrated autofocus that only works in the centre of the frame… and doesn’t track anything unless its a face… oh, and then only with 3 cheap lenses.

I got tired of always discovering a ‘catch’ in Canon’s specs, but owning a GH5 has been full of pleasant surprises from day 1.

Enjoy your new camera and marvel at the IBIS that almost turns it into an invisible steadycam.

Thank you, and thanks for the tip and the information that makes me feel like I made a good decision. It’s weird tho, it hasn’t fully sunk in yet that I made the switch lol. I use to love the GH3 tho, in fact I still do. So I know I will love the GH5. I definitely will try out those settings you suggest. If I had the option I would keep a c100 mk2 in my arsenal tho. Still a very solid camera for certain jobs
    I’m excited. yet nervous. ☺

Has anyone used the relay recording mode on GH5? I use my GH5 to record long seminars and I had to record without cut. I thought the relay recording mode will automatically spill over the video to the next SD card when the first one gets full. In my case, recording stops when SD 1 is full and I have to press record button again to start recording to SD 2. Am I missing something? I record in AVCHD format. Thanks! God bless!

it’s been 9 months.. and here is an update I wanted to share since it’s been a journey on this thread.

I ended up selling the GH5 for personal a few months after. I was given an opportunity to rebuild and this may be a chock to some and some may not agree but I picked up the Canon c100 Mark 2 a few days ago. So yes in late 2018 I bought this Camera brand new kit with the 24-105 L 2 version lens.

I could of bought the gh5s or even 2 gh5s for the price i paid for this camera. I am aware but I was missing the c100, this is my third c100 but this time I got it brand new and it’s the mark 2. (hey that rhymed) It came down to my target clients etc, even coverage, long for speeches , interviews etc. I am very happy with my choice and there is no issues, the 2 used units i bought seemed to have some issue. (first one screen hinge was on it’s way out.) 2nd one the image was pulsing in the darks too much. Something didn’t feel right.

This one so far is amazing, clean and nothing bothers me. The built in Audio XLR, the Built in ND filters oh how I love and missed those. (i had screw on nd filters but it affected the image on my gh5s it would also capture fog in it in the winter) The auto focus for capturing quick situations, the wide DR profile, colours. 60 fps for a little slow down, the amount data used cause the AVHCD makes the work flow fast. I have no desire for 4k still. the 4k sensor in this camera that produces a really nice 1080p image. Ok I’m gushing cause low key I always wanted the Mark 2 but it was out of my budget. So I took this opportunity and got what I really wanted. This will always stay in my kit for my main situations. I will grab one of the newer 4k cameras in the near future, but I am very happy with my decision to get this solid workhorse of a camera in late 2018, some may think I am crazy but for me. This worked out.

Just wanted to share this update with yall. So anyone thinking this late in the game don’t feel too bad if you decide to go with older solid tech. At the end of the day like people mention. It’s the right tool for the right job…
