Activity Forums Adobe After Effects GFX Cards

  • Posted by Terry Hahin on June 28, 2005 at 3:02 pm

I use a PC with an ASUS motherboard w/ VGA slots. Does anyone recommend any graphics cards that might be gd for after effects, especially for someone who has troubles rendering out 3d comps (I get crashes alot on 3d renders).

Do GFX cards even make a difference, or is it just a gaming thing?

Thanks to anyone who has some insight.

It looks like the ATI Radeon 9600/9700/9800 or the NVideo GeForce FX 5200 are your best bet. However, I have had a lot of luck with the GeForce Line.

A lot of people have trouble with ATI, but then they also have troble with nVidea too.

My money is on nVidea, but that’s just my opinion.
