  • Getting video and audio to act as one…??

Posted by Nick Dantonio on February 22, 2010 at 1:40 pm

I have video that I shot lined up with audio that was recorded separately. This is all fine but now I want to work with the video and audio as if they came into the timeline as together as one.

Just to be clear I want to be able to use things like the razor tool and rolling edit without having to do it twice.

My first thought is to line it up and render it out but that seems like something I shouldn’t have to do to get this functionality. I’ve tried nesting, linking and grouping but none of those seem to do what I want.

Am I doing something wrong or is there a better way??

    Thanks

    ????

Are you saying you tried nesting the sync’d sequence into your main sequence and it’s not working?

What exactly doesn’t work about that method?

Click on the video track, press and hold Shift and click on the audio track. Right click and select “Link”. They are now joined in holy matrimony.
